Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani and Peruvian Muay Thai MMA fighter as well as a mixed martial artist currently competing in the flyweight division in the UFC. Valentina Shevchenko, a former UFC Flyweight title holder as well as UFC fellow fighter is her younger sister. Antonina Shevchenko's professional career in combat sport started out as an Muay Thai fighter. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title after which she defeated Suzane Mller with a majority vote. Antonina Shevchenko received an UFC contract following this win. Antonina Shevchenko made her UFC debut UFC in The TUF Finals TUF Heavy Hitting match against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko was victorious by unanimous decision, but she was defeated in her subsequent fight with Roxanne Modafferi by split decision. Antonina recovered from the loss to defeat Lucie Pudilova with a back-naked choke submission in the second round UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned an extra fight in the night in this fight. Shevchenko had a 1-2 record in her next 3 fights. She defeated Ariane Lipski and lost to Katlyn Chokagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina lost to Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO in the second round of UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
